Monetary Prizes Distribution Criteria
AATI is proud to celebrate the achievements of our top-performing students with a monetary prize recognizing their hard work and dedication to the study of Italian.
The value of the prizes, as well as the scores required to earn them, vary each year based on the total number of students taking the exam nationwide and the overall score distribution.
Monetary prizes are awarded based on national performance, recognizing students who place in the 99th percentile and achieve the highest percentage score within their level. This year, AATI refined its criteria to ensure that top achievers across all levels are recognized equally, accounting for the fact that each level of the NIE is a distinct exam with its own scoring scale and difficulty.
$55 — Awarded to all students placing in the 99th percentile who achieved the highest score recorded within their level nationally.
This approach ensures that top achievers across all levels are recognized equally and fairly, regardless of the difficulty of their exam.
Prize amounts and the number of recipients were determined based on the available budget collected through exam registration fees.
